The problem with that @batman is that they will just delete the post and block me from the page so I won't see it any more. I guess I could put this on my own Facebook page but then I run the risk of antivax loonies harassing me.

Maybe report to MOH or local PHO.

Looks like local PHO is ThinkHauora for the Palmerston North area. https://www.thinkhauora.nz/

Batman: tag the police department

I think this thing is not illegal. Just very very stupid. First, because covid vaccination is not compulsory.

Second because some people who don't even believe covid exists will attempt to use their exemption to put vulnerable people at risk of infection for no reason.

Third because any professional signing one of these things for no clinical reason at all is taking a risk with their career I imagine.

For Vaccine certificates, there has yet to be an exception process set out. I imagine that will have to be tightly managed. Perhaps only each DHB's Clinical Immunology and Allergy senior doctors being able to issue them.

For the occupations in the "COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021" (Healthcare, teachers, MIQ workers etc), there is an exemption process set out in section 7A.

https://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/2021/0094/latest/whole.html#LMS522626

Key section is:

"(2) An affected person may carry out certain work without being vaccinated if—
(a) the affected person has particular physical or other needs that a suitably qualified health practitioner (in the course of examining the person) determines would make it inappropriate for the person to be vaccinated; and
(b) in any case where the affected person belongs to the group specified in Part 6 of the table in Schedule 2, the relevant PCBU who employs or engages the affected person has provided the register with written confirmation that a suitably qualified health practitioner—
(i) has examined the affected person; and
(ii) has determined that vaccinating the affected person would be inappropriate.
(3) If the affected person is a health practitioner, the examination referred to in subclause (2) must be undertaken by another health practitioner who is suitably qualified to conduct the examination."

The bottom of the issue will be:

  • Are the practitioners they have "Suitable Qualified" to make this determination.
  • Is the practitioner working to the standards expected by their professional body. If not they could have issues with their bodies regulation process.

Should note that the Nursing council has clarified that only "Nurse Practitioner's" may make this assessment, not A Registered or Enrolled Nurse.

https://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz/NCNZ/News-section/news-item/2021/10/Health_Exemptions_from_Mandatory_Vaccination_Order.aspx

Without knowing what practitioners they have doing the signing, we don't know which body to complain to. Only options I can think of are:

  • Show up and get one, then forward to the signatories professional body. (not ideal - don't want to give money to anti vaxer's.
  • Submit that screenshot to every media organisation you like via their tip line, and let them bring massive attention to the operation.

An article in Stuff today.

https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/126866185/family-doctors-cop-abuse-from-patients-wanting-vaccine-exemptions

From that article:
The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) has advised GPs not to issue exemptions until the criteria are released, but this was causing huge stress, president Dr Samantha Murton said.

“If people are offering an exemption certificate now, that exemption will probably not be valid in a week’s time,” Murton said.

There are probably so few people genuinely qualifying for exemptions they could be subject to approval rather than handed out by GPs. As an example if you lose your driving licence because of a medical condition any reinstatement goes to the NZTA's medical expert for review.

There are under 200 people in NZ who genuinely would qualify for an exemption on medical grounds, to the point the places my wife (a doctor) works, have all categorically stated they will not provide them at all.

If you call those places, and ask for one you will simply be told you can't get one.

It also doesn't exclude you from workplace requirements.

Just a bunch of con artists making a buck.

The 'certificates' they are signing will be worth less than those that come in rolls of 200 and hang next to your toilet.

You could perhaps share it via messenger to NZ Police?

Also use that screenshot and send it via the 105 website https://www.police.govt.nz/use-105
