Update to my saga.
Went to Specsavers today with an audio test result I got last year from another audiologist. Long and short the audiologist suggested the "SUPER" model so I agreed with that one with charging option.
Will get them 6 March. Hope it goes well.....
Do the specsavers super and elite ones have android apps we can use? I think they are Phonaks aren't they?
I have 2019 vintage BT and rechargeable Phonaks which work with Android. Fairly sure they're Apple compatible too.

It keeps changing as they change their product line. They might be Phonaks now, but they were Signia when I got mine. You needed an app on Android but IOS devices just work as is.
The SpecSavers audiologists should have the details but back when I got mine they said Android was not yet supported. It was enough to push me off Android to IOS.
Thanks, but my query was about the app that you can use to manage your settings. There is a myPhonac app, for example.
Mmm, looks like my query is addressed in the "other" thread. Confusing having two.

I am about to get hearing aids.
Our ACC provider at work has refused to subsidise them as their ENT specialist says my hearing loss is not work related.
Triton quote for top of range L90-RT Phonak's with rechargeable batteries was just over $7k.
Specsavers for the L90-R is just under $6K. Only difference is they don't have the telecoil.
Specsavers Advance Elite 871-R-Li's is just under $3.6K, so looking at them.
Anyone got these ones?

I would go to an independant ENT specialist.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.
I thought about that, but the waiting time for an appointment is too long.

I have the Specsavers Elite RIC LI 819 was the top Specsavers model as of a few months ago, I think it was $4.5k less $1k subsidy so about $3.5k.
I've had no problems at all with Specsavers Audiology.
I have the Specsaver 'Super' model with rechargeable option. A whisker under $3,000.
These are branded 'Unitron'. Unitron and Phonak are brands of the Sonova group.
I have been impressed with the service from Porirua Specsavers. The Android app works well, too, but I am getting over using it too often to fiddle with settings!
