Seems they need to send the police up to the turbine.

Are people thick? Do they need a law that says you can't ride a mountain bike? and if you do, it'll get confiscated and you will have to walk home.

So bad. Too many seem to think this is a holiday. They need to treat us like toddlers if thats how we act. Ban everything except walking and cycling on a road, in the neighbourhood.

A tiger has tested positive to Covid-19 in new york , This could put a completely different spin on things.

Now why does this remind of Monty Python, let me think........

If it does spread to animals I would go with this (one of my favorite scenes.)

There are many more animals in a zoo than in a typical wet market in Asia.

Zoos need to be careful that they don't pass the infection onto another animal that further amplifies the disease, or, mutates in a way that makes it more lethal.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus may be a result of a bat coronavirus that merged with a coronavirus found commonly in a South China fish.  Bats and fish are commonly found in such markets.

Well the tiger is worth far more than the staff.... so just precautions I guess.

/sarcasm.

Coronaviruses affect the whole animal kingdom.

They may have developed their own test which isn't certified for use in humans by the FDA.

People need to remember, Covid-19 is a zoonotic outbreak.

In the case of felines, they can be infected with the same SARS-CoV-2 virus (Covid 19), and they live in close contact with humans - in almost every household in many countries.

yes. lol I'm rather afraid of posting my thoughts here as i've had different warnings from mods but ... here goes ...

animals getting infected - this to me has a very simple solution - but for exactly what you have suggested, the monetary and non monetary value of animals to society might make this potentially a major conflict if the virus figures out how to use all sorts of animals to take over the planet.

what gets me though, is this is not a living thing! it's not even alive!

i won't worry too much about zoos. they are few and far between and have less close contact but for their zoo keepers. but live-animal markets/farms and wild roaming animals and pets...

Clearly the zoo keepers weren't worrying either even though data was published to show that felines could get infected.

Raymond Gary Coombs appeared in court, remainded until Thursday waiting for COVID-19 test results.

One charge is of criminal nuisance - and one is of failing to follow a Medical Officer of Health's orders.

The latter charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison.

He was refused bail and has been tested for Covid-19.

Coombs sparked outrage over the weekend when he filmed himself coughing and sneezing on customers in the Barrington Fresh Choice – and posted it on Facebook.

Police arrested Coombs on Saturday night.

Judge Jane McMeeken told the court today she considers this serious offending – which has caused concern nationwide.

Coombs was remanded in custody until Thursday – while the court awaits his Covid-19 test results.

Thats interesting. So they tested the tiger out of caution. Hmmm. Not normally a conspiracy theorist. But it makes you think. Is there another reason theyre testing animals when people are already struggling to get tests? Are they worried animals could be asymptomatic carriers?

Crikey.  How do you take a throat swab from a tiger?

Maybe it was someone the tiger ate...

"Over 8% of the human genome is made up of (mostly decayed) endogenous retrovirus sequences"

If some escaped from us - we got some of them back.
