I thought it was at 3 days and 10 days. The MoH website doesn't specify, just says that you will be tested.

But, as I said, it doesn't make sense to test someone as they're walking out the door. By the time you get the results, they could be anywhere, and have had contact with dozens of people. So testing a couple of days before exit would be a Really Good Idea.

Yep, seems no time so test when you get to Wellington. It seems a big time/deadline issue so someone authorised them to go with special travel arrangements

No blog update, PM on shortly, something is going down

...They knowingly traveled from a known Hotspot...

An intelligent person (or one who cared about 'living people' & the financial/livelyhood cost to society this virus had caused) - would have made the personal decision NOT to leave quarantine & would NOT have even applied for an exemption. (Knowing they had symptoms)

This is what really irks me. I think most people would be of the opinion to not travel period.

Certainly if I was in the UK I would not even consider flying 20-30 hours given the risks to myself and others.

Yes its very sad that someone died but these are exceptional times. I have personal experience of a parent dying while I was midway on a flight to see them in hospital. If this had happened in these present time I would not have travelled.

The lack of MOH announcement at 1pm suggests something is afoot.

No resignation, no new cases, Bloomfield taking responsibility for ensuring it does not happen again.

JA yet to speak.

Stuff just popped up and stated that "At this point, there are 320 identified close contacts" with the Travelling Wellington pair.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

MoH is running this project, Dr A runs MoH, Dr C is Minister of Health, more overseeing at best. If it came down to it, Dr A goes or both go. I dont support either going until I know who signed the sisters to go

PM says Dr A will assess the causes and what/who caused them

In a Westminster style of Parliament as in NZ  the Minister is ultimately responsible.
