I managed to get some (free) RAT tests, thanks for the help in getting these :)
Re the other question though, once I'm negative should I replace the toothbrush of everyone that had coronavirus?

Boil (sterilise) your toothbrush?

I suspect that if you put boiling water on your tooth brush, it will shrink & swell & generally distort itself. Also all the bristles will fall out.
Neither the plastic material nor the glue that holds the bristles in are designed for 95-100C temperatures

I just soak my toothbrush in a capful of anti-bacterial mouthwash.

I think replacing the toothbrush is probably a good idea but I can't help thinking this is being over thought. Since there is a period after you've had Covid where you are protected from getting Covid how the hell could you get re-infected like this?

I tested positive on Saturday morning, first time infection (am double vaxxed and boosted)

Woke up with a bit of an annoying sore throat so took a test and wasn't entirely surprised when I saw a faint T come up after 15 minutes. Didn't have any symptoms before that.

Spent Saturday in bed with a bad migraine and body aches. Gradually better from Sunday afternoon, body aches and migraine are gone, replaced by a bit of a sore throat/croaky voice and stuffy nose today. Other than that, feeling pretty good but I am missing my daily outdoor walks more now that I'm stuck in iso until Sunday 😅

Drinking lots of fluids, taking vitamin C (eating oranges and effervescent tablets) and paracetamol.

Yeah, more than likely. But if you were going to throw it away anyhow, as the old ad said, “Worth a crack, Nigel”😁

Sounds kinda similar to mine, although I had rising temperatures etc from Thursday morning onwards, finally testing positive on Saturday morning. Hope you feel better soon - I think I'm starting to get over the worst of it.

Thanks, hopefully you're seeing the end of it. I just need the sore throat to go, that's when I know I'll be ok 🤞

I found Difflam Plus throat lozenges quite helpful with this (having one right now). Mine is starting to feel more like a cold, so hoping I'm on the downhill slope of it.

As for everyone else in the house...

You are allowed out for exercise locally.

Exercise

You can exercise outside in your neighbourhood without wearing a face mask. Stay physically distanced from others. You cannot use a shared exercise facility, such as a gym or swimming pool. Stick to gentle, familiar exercise. Do not take on new or risky activities that may lead to a need for you to be rescued.

Hell in the UK you can still compete in the Commonwealth games under certain conditions!

"Without wearing a face mask"

No wonder people are so reluctanct to wear masks. It's all mangled.

I did read about that yesterday, not sure I feel comfortable going out with people around especially since I live in a high density area 😂 I'll be fine until Sunday, it's not that long.

Coming up to two months since Covid struck me. I got a relatively minor cold last weekend, a few sniffles and a bit of a cough. But the impact on my energy levels has been massive, spent all day in bed yesterday mostly asleep.  God knows what I would be like with a second bout of Covid.

It's really pretty scary.

I'm going outside shortly, and you can bet the bank I'll be wearing a mask. Last thing I want to do is give this crap to someone else.
