Hello!

I'm interested in getting a convertible standing desk: Via push-button or hand-crank the desk can be converted from sitting height to standing height and vice versa.

Do you have any recommendations where I could get such a desk from? Any retailers offering something like this (in the Auckland area)?

No, I can't build one myself: No skills, no place to do so, no tools. frown

Thank you very much!

I use a workfit-S from Ergotron (http://www.ergotron.com/ProductsDetails/tabid/65/PRDID/378/Default.aspx). It can bolt to pretty much any desk and is really portable. Easy to lift and lower - just uses friction. Another easy (and cheaper) option is the Varidesk (http://www.varidesk.com/)

I think Ascent do the Ergotron but not sure who does Vardesk here.

mine should be delivered to my house today,
http://directoffice.co.nz/product/desks-workstations/arise-electric-desk-1600/
couldnt get a varidesk ect as I needed one that would go high (this goes over 1300) and could support dual monitors on an arm (supports 120KG) and would still have enough desk space to hold my pointlessly large keyboard/mouse mat/various devices
with cable tray, swiveling CPU holder, and GST/delivery I paid $1280

got it setup for the most part last night, just need to sort the under desk addons now. It is very fast and quite quiet. goes very high indeed, over 1300 which is nice n tall for me. Cats went mental when I made it rise for the first time.
will finish it then upload a small video of it in action.
