Huawei New Zealand has launched the 2nd generation of its revolutionary TalkBand series the B2, showcasing the company’s minimalist design aesthetic and smart functionality.

The TalkBand B2 was created at Huawei’s Paris design centre and echoes the professional and premium design of the Huawei P8 smartphone. An HD OLED (Organic LED) touch screen sits within a high-strength, lightweight aviation-grade aluminium holster and is certified IP57 water and dust resistant. The TalkBand B2 is available in three colours black, silver and gold. Black and silver variants feature a watchband in flexible TPU material while the gold variant sports a luxurious leather strap.

The ideal smartphone companion, TalkBand B2 boasts improved fitness tracker functionality, enhanced synchronisation with mobile devices, and superior Bluetooth connectivity.

A six-axis sensor can identify and record activities accurately, detect duration and quality of sleep, and help users achieve a healthy lifestyle.

A pop-out Bluetooth headset remains the TalkBand series’ stand-out feature and has been enhanced for the latest device. The TalkBand B2 packs dual-microphone noise reduction technology and smart detection to identify when the earpiece is removed from the wristband, allowing calls and media to be routed to the TalkBand B2. The TalkBand B2 is also equipped with a pager to help locate a lost or misplaced smartphone through vibration or ring tone alerts. When connected to a Huawei P8 smartphone, the Talkband B2 can also be used as a remote device to capture images through the P8.

As a device for people on the go, the TalkBand B2 has superb battery life. It’s able to operate up to five days, support up to six hours continuous call time, and offers 12 days of standby time on a single charge.

The TalkBand B2 supports devices with Android 4.0+ and IOS7.0+.

Availability
The Huawei TalkBand B2 is on sale now at Noel Leeming, The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and PB Technologies. Silver and Black models retail at $229 RRP. Gold with leather strap variant retails at $279 RRP
