2 weeks ago I was put in hospital for a week due to me having a stroke (Only 42). This was mostly due to me having COA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coarctation_of_the_aorta) and this causing high BP and the stroke.

I'm a little slow on the right hand side now (And getting better) (At the time It was like being drunk on the right hand side and normal on the left) but mentally I'm 100% fine.

Because of this I have to keep at eye on my BP so I need a device which will take it. (And integrate with the iPhone)

Suggestions?

I was born with it so the Docs don't think its worth doing anything at the moment. (The body had sorted out extra bloody vessels etc to get partly around it). The stroke was very mild.

Just medication to lower the BP at the moment.

It Caused high BP in upper half and low BP in the Lower Part.

I have used the Withings BP Monitor for more than 4 years now. Completely reliable and all readings stored in app that is on the iPhone. The cuff connects to your iPhone and the measurement process is controlled from your phone.

Withings's website says their app is not comparable with ios9 yet (maybe it is now)

Looking at something that integrates with the health app which records my Heart rate all day via the Apple Watch.

I have ios9 on my iPhone 5s and there are no problems. The data also syncs to the Apple Health App as well as being in the Withings App and there have been no problems with that. Not sure about the watch but with it syncing with apple Health app I would think it would be available from the watch but do not know that for sure. I also use the Withings scale that connects to my home network and keeps track of weight in the app - again both Withings app and Apple Health. My BP machine came with the wide iPhone connector as I had it originally with my iPhone 4 but just use an adaptor to connect to the 5s. I assume that the machines sold today will have the new iPhone connection.

There is a way to easily fix it with a stent, the end result is a scar less than 2mm long after a few months. Obviously it may not suit everyone. But you need to be sure they have thought about it.

You may have an older one. The new one is Bluetooth and more accurate than the previous model. Just put it on your arm and press button on the unit. It does come with a USB adapter for android if needed.

Yes I can see from the BP readings that I bought it just over 4 years ago. My weight data goes back over 5 years as the scales were available before the BP device.

But late, but I use BP Assistant (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blood-pressure-assistant-log/id612383468?mt=8), which is pretty basic but works well for what I need. And a Omron 7-series: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004H468S8

It's not automatic to the phone, but it's a VERY reliable and accurate cuff. Dont, whatever you do, get a wrist cuff. They are basically useless.
