Received this week and thought interesting for this sub-forum:
The I.AM App is about to change the face of the fitness industry. The app is set to revolutionise the way people do 'fit'. The new fitness app connects Kiwis with like-minded training buddies, specialised trainers, facilities and a variety of fitness classes – anywhere, anytime, nationwide.
Tony Marsh, one of New Zealand’s most respected personal trainers and strength and conditioning coaches, is the Kiwi behind I.AM. Marsh is an ex-International Rugby Player, Iron Man athlete, top Les Mills PT and is also a cancer survivor and ambassador for Blue September and Testicular Cancer NZ. Marsh is passionate about promoting healthy living, fitness and well-being and connecting like-minded individuals to grow and achieve their fitness goals together.
Having worked with numerous clients and alongside some of the world’s top fitness trainers, Marsh recognised a gap in the fitness market, and a reason why so many people were failing to achieve their own health and fitness goals. Enter the I.AM App which is shaking up the predictability of the fitness industry and putting the power in the hands of each individual to work out on their own terms and without a membership.
“The key to achieving your health and fitness goals in the busy world we live in is variation and flexibility,” says Marsh. “I wanted to create an App that gave everyone access to the best trainers, classes, and training buddies to workout on their own terms, whenever and wherever they are, and feel like training”.
The app is a user friendly mobile application and online community where anyone, at any fitness level, can connect with multiple specialised trainers and trial workouts with no pressure to commit to ongoing training sessions. Users can connect with different trainers, daily training buddies and different exercise disciplines at the touch of a button. Unlike any other fitness App, I.AM provides users with a full spectrum of fitness benefits and flexibility including:
- freedom to workout on your own terms – when, where and who with
- access to the best trainers and classes that match user interests and location
- browse profiles of fitness experts and potential workout buddies
- find a training buddy in your area at a whim for a run, last minute HIIT training in the park, a shared PT session, a round of golf, surfing at the local beach or a special offer class at a training facility
- endless opportunity to meet a variety of health and well-being conscious individuals
- an online booking system for individual sessions and classes directly through the app
- the ability for users to review and give feedback after each workout, promoting transparency and quality service
- a fitness deals section that provides access to the latest fitness and health promotions and offers
I.AM App offers users and providers the freedom to be in control of their fitness journey. As Marsh explains, “Freedom, flexibility and variation is the name of the game.”
Finding a Buddy options include: bike, golf, gym, kayak, personal training, run, ski, snow board, squash, sup, surf, swim, tennis, walk/hike. “For me today, health, fitness and overall wellbeing is a way of life. It is my fix that provides me with the energy, focus, and power to be mentally and physically at my best, and I want to ensure that everyone has access to such an incredible tool whenever and wherever they feel like it,” Tony Marsh – Chief Trainer and Founder, I.AM.
Aucklanders are the first to experience I.AM to its full capacity, with over 100 confirmed training providers and facilities already taking bookings and expanding rapidly nationally. The I.AM training buddy system is available nationwide. Marsh will look to expand the App to offer further fitness and wellbeing services to the I.AM community.
