A company called ApneaRX is advertising on New Zealand TV.
It supposed to help with snoring.
The company has a pretty dodgy background, and has been pinged several times internationally for misleading advertising.
I have sleep apnea, a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing or instances of shallow breathing during sleep.
I use a prescription machine to keep my passageway from closing, a CPAC.
I also used to work for a dental manufacturer in research. I'm familiar with the "boil and bite" sleep guards that dentists can make, which is what this roughly copies.
So my personal opinion is these guys are snake-oil salesman.
You may disagree, but I suggest checking this webpage before buying one of these "Registered medical device" that "clinically proven to treat sleep apnea"

On a side note, there's only two coutries in the world that allow direct-to-consumer advertising of medical devices: USA and New Zealand.
There's no reason why medical companies should be doing direct-to-consumer advertising.
