So I read this on the herald ... dangers of the microwave oven

... how can eating its food also cause problems ... anyway - what is the danger radius of microwaves ...

It's on the Herald, it must be true!

More microwave radiation from sitting infront of a laptop with wifi than an oven, unless you have drilled holes in it or something daft.

This same 'doctor' published a paper advising that wifi is very dangerous indeed! Then her own colleagues rebuffed the findings.

At least one website is shooting down Dr Havas' alarmist claims on various issues...

It's published in the Herald. Nothing more to be said really

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Better wrap that microwave in tinfoil.

Well given that the story is posted in the " Lifestyle" section, and the other stories around it are

"Prince Harry: What my mum would want"

"Being sole breadwinner: Bad for men, good for women"

"These are my pubes, how are you?' - the worst drunk texts ever"

I think I am fairly safe in assuming that its not the most important thing I need to read today :)

If this were true I would expect the inverter style microwave to mitigate the issue to some extent. Actual lower power output vs simple on/off of the conventional microwave. This doctor does not mention that.

I really doubt there is much evidence for what this doctor is claiming, which seems to be a lot. I will go have a look at the website sometime.
