I got both my parents Fitbits for Christmas but my mother has a Huawei P10 Lite and can't for the life of me get it to talk to the Fitbit. Had to initially pair it up with the PC and from there install the Fitbit app on the iPad (and hope that Fitbit will eventually sync on her phone).

My conclusion is Huawei's OS is just rubbish but has anyone else got any pointers on getting it working (apart from loading another OS on the phone)?

Tried this a few months back to sync a Fitbit  with my wife's Huawei P10. Never made it work and gave up. She gave away the fitbit and got  a Huawei Fit. The cynic in me says its a deliberate move by Huawei to sell their own device. A google search at teh time revealed others having this issue

The Fitbit connected no issue to an ancient S5 I have kicking around

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

That's what I suspect too. It is terrible.

Just to add to the mix: Daughter was using a Charge HR successfully with her P8. She no longer has either.

Bluetooth is on but won't sync. Initially wouldn't even find the Alta HR. I managed to get it to detect once but since then it won't. Rebooted phone, uninstalled / reinstalled the app etc with no success. Bluetooth headphones pair and work fine so Bluetooth works.

Since it operates off Bluetooth LE it won't show up in the search. It can communicate with the iPad fine.

I have a Fitbit Blaze, a Fitbit Surge and a Withings. Sync is a hit and miss. Sometimes will do on first attempt, sometimes will take a couple of days (perhaps a phone restart) to sync. This with P10, Mate 9 and Mate 10 Pro.

I did notice that the Fitbit did a few syncs on its own to the Huawei today but notifications etc won't come through.

Rubbish Android build is rubbish.

Having sporadic sync issues (as in, sporadically sync actually works) with my S7 Edge and Ionic. Common denominator would be the Fitbit app! Grr
