Has anyone had the YAG laser treatment and would like to comment on the procedure and outcome please?.

It is used to clear cloudiness after cataract operation.

I have not but I would be interested to know more about it. I have just undergone cataract surgery in one eye and while I do not have cloudiness, there is an area of slight filminess that moves with my eyeball movements, as well as a net-like floater. Both of these effects are very subtle and do not really get in my way, but they are noticeable and I find them mildly distracting.

No. However I can recommend an excellent surgeon specialising in Laser eye surgeries and cataract surgery if you want a further medical opinion.

Perhaps someone who has had the YAG procedure will come up with some answers.

These actually may just be floaters. If you google it you'll see they're quite common:

Yup... my optometrist told me that floaters are normal from about 50 years. His advice was to learn to live with them, because getting rid of them is difficult and unpleasant, and not likely to be completely successful.

Oh, and on the laser topic... laser treatment of the eyes and commercial piloting are mutually exclusive, in case you have any ambitions in that direction.
