Sometimes my Garmin will not sync an activity with Garmin Connect on my Android.
I can see the activity on the watch but can't sync it or otherwise recover it.
When connected to my laptop I can see the device and its folders but the activity folder is empty as are some of the others. I can see some. fit files but they seem to be system files.
Any help welcomed

I have a garmin watch and its synching has been flawless - so I cant really help. Maybe check you have the last updates on both Garmin Connect and the Vivofit. If that doesnt work maybe the good old factory re-install on teh vivosmart. Take it back to original and try from there.

I had intermittent syncing problems after I updated the software on my iPhone, but the problem appears to have been resolved since I updated the software on my Garmin. I assume that Garmin have to issue new software updates to ensure full compatibility with latest phone operating systems.

 

You will probably have to download the Garmin Express software to your laptop, and plug in your watch via USB to perform the update.

Also - contact Garmin support. I had an issue with one not doing something as expected and they managed to get me sorted quick smart.

Thank you for the answers. I just started back from scratch and most of my old records were there. Been experimenting over the weekend and sync has been good. Still can't access fit files on my computer so that is the next step
