According to this item on CNN, junk food diets in countries like the USA and New Zealand are destroying the ability to reproduce. An excerpt:

"Total sperm count in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand dropped by up to 60% in the 38 years between 1973 and 2011, research found -- an acceleration of a trend that began in the 1940s. More recent studies show the trend is continuing."

Maybe something to think about next time you chomp into that whopper.

Some people suggest one of the most effective ways to reduce climate change is the reduce the number of human beings on earth.

It seems like McDonald's and Burger King are well ahead of the curve in assisting with this.

The article has just picked on one component of a complex concern.

"Why? No one knows for sure. Debate rages about the role of radiation, air pollution and chemicals in our food, clothes and water. Smoking, alcohol consumption and obesity likely all play a role."

I remember watching a documentary well over 20 years ago about some wet lands in the State's and how its wildlife was being affected, poor birth rates, abnormal births, by the leaching of chemicals from discarded food packaging into the general environment and into the very foods the packaging is designed to protect. Most (all) of these chemicals upset the endocrine system which plays a vital role in our reproductive system.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
