I'm trying to make a claim using the Southern Cross app on an Android device.

I need to upload a document. Every time I try to upload a PDF of the document I get an error message saying the upload failed and that the only acceptable types of upload are a photo or a PDF. I'd rather not have to muck around printing the PDF's to take photos of them.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Take a photo of the PDF off your PC screen and then upload the photo of the PDF, Then you don't have to bother printing it out

Tried that. The PDF had to shrink to such a size the quality of the image was unusable.

The screen shot off the tablet might work though.

I’ve done it multiple times on iOS with PDFs up to about 0.5MB from what I can find in my documents.
Do the same PDFs work if you upload on another device? May be something in the way the device handles PDFs and file uploads etc.

Use a PC if the app doesn't work. The Southern Cross website is one of the slowest and least user friendly I've ever used. Sometimes it crawls so slow it's unusable. To get the status of your claims you have to log in, try to find the right area, then download a freaking PDF which is really not user friendly. I've reported this to them in the past but nothing changes.

Same result on two different devices. I have been able to upload PDFs previously.

Tell me about how bad their website is!!!!!!! It's the only website I know of that WILL NOT work with Opera. I don't intend installing another browser just for one website.

In the end I took screen shots of the PDFs on my tablet and uploaded those.
