Hi

I've been trying to find an arm band that supports up to a 6.5" phone, is water proof/resistant and does not slip when running.  Ideally I'd like to get it as soon as possible as running with a jacket is starting to overheat in the morning temps now and as I'm not commuting on my bike I'd like to run more often.

There are so many on the market, and most on Amazon appear to have issues from the reviews so I'm seeking some local thoughts from people who may use them... Any thoughts, comments or experiences?

Thanks!

I always found arm bands cumbersome and uncomfortable, especially as phones have grown over the years.

Have you tried a running waist belt? Also gives you the ability to carry some water or a place for keys. Not water proof, but most phones are water resistant now for a light sprinkle

Plus one for waist belt. I use one of these https://spibelt.com/ (when I run with a phone) and just use a glad sandwich bag to protect my phone if its raining.

Hadn't considered a belt... do they ride up when running?

I do not need direct access to my phone when running as my earphones are bluetooth sports type and my watch is connected to the phone and control spotify plus other functions.

Aquapac is what I've used when I've needed to waterproof professional audio/video equipment.

They do armband packs for cellphones and come in various sizes.

Definitely recommend a belt. So much handier and can carry water, snack, jacket etc without issues. I use the Ultraspire belt for any unsupported runs up to 21km. Anything over that I'll wear my running vest. There are heaps of options out there to suit your needs.

Ok, so I've gone for a hip belt as it seems they are the way to go especially as I do not need access to the phone when running or riding.  Also took the opportunity to order a new set of cycle glasses too as I need some, so all round a happy time!  Thanks everyone.

Good idea. You had a question about whether they ride up.

They can, but that's generally a sign that they're not being worn correctly. Best to wear them low, on the hips than higher on the waist. You find then that they don't ride up then.
