I've used an massage gun; like this Homedics massage gun for 6 or so months and found it pretty ok, but testing out the Theragun models, even the Mini, they all have far more travel and make the Homedics one feel like its more vibrating than pulsing due to the shallow travel.

I'm looking for something smaller than the homedics ideally (like the Theragun Mini), but mostly want a decent amount of travel for deeper tissue massage. Does anyone have any recommendations for any of other brands around?

Not sure where the hell you're putting your massage gun, and don't want to know!

At those prices - a good set of human hands. 🤲

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I bought a massage gun kit off a Trademe seller for under $140 and I find it's brilliant. Works wonders to get the knots and stiffness out of the muscles after a long training run. Had it 2 years now and still going strong and certainly enough "thrusting" motion for me 😄

I just picked out a nice 24 volt (well 6 battery cell anyway, I think they count 4v per cell, not the nominal 3.8v) one from aliexpress.

Most of the cheaper stuff you see in NZ will have 3 battery cells only.

Ended up with this one:

Actually barely use it, but that is more personal taste, rather than any issues with the machine.

Thanks for the real feedback! Ended up getting a Theragun Mini. Also tried out an SKG but found the Theragun significantly better.

Will be used for tennis elbow (slow healing tear from lifting 15L steel scuba tank over a fence with my weaker arm), and shoulder tendonitis from rock climbing.
