Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for a mobile charger that is available in NZ.

My car is not a Tesla (Jaguar i-Pace - Type 2). I quite like the idea of being able to change pigtails from a 10a to 15a or a caravan plug depending on availability which the Tesla mobile charger does have.. but I don't know if its a good idea outside of Tesla's ecosystem.

Only you will know how often and where you will need to charge, but you may find any old 8 amp EVSE with a normal 3 pin plug will be as easy and useful as anything.

If however you're looking for the ultimate in versatility, then have a look at https://www.nrgkick.com/en/ You can customise from a variety of different connectors, and I read somewhere they set one up for an NZ customer with the common plugs you'd find here.

The Tesla mobile connector does work with non-Tesla EVs, so that is an easy option if the price is right for your budget

My parents have a Tesla and an MG.
They use the Tesla mobile charger for both as they had a 15A socket installed in the garage and it works fine with the MG.
