I feel this is all part of a growing wave of lawlessness in this country. Lucky she wasn't injured by the accident or by him.

Unfortunately this appears to be the case. About an hour ago I saw a guy drive a car onto the footpath on a busy Wellington CBD street at rush hour, completely blocking pedestrian access and nearly running people over. He then got out, started stumbling around and yelling like a lunatic, then eventually the police came and took him away.

I was just out for a walk. An idiot pulls into a driveway without indicating, cutting me off. I continue on my way, then he slams the car into reverse (or possibly neutral; it's a hill) and almost backs into me. The only way I can get out of the way is to jump into the road, where another car was thankfully far enough away to slow down without issue. The first car then fled, and of course I was too shaken to get the plate number.

It feels like NZ is turning into the Wild West.

They had all the police somewhere on the north island armed today. All of them!

Hmm?  I'm not convinced that someone who has a different taste in music to yourself deserves to be maligned in this thread.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Nothing wrong with having different tastes in music, its another thing to force your tastes on everyone else.

When you're a pedestrian and you're confronted with a narrow road going up a hill, right up against the cliff face, and a sign saying "pedestrians to use [alternate route that's approx 50 metres longer and specifically designed for pedestrians]", do you A) use the alternate route, or do you B) just walk up the road and make the cars cross the centre line to get past you?

If you picked B, at least you had a bright orange top on, so I could at least see you there...

Somewhat similar to the cyclists going up the same road. Can't remember if the sign says anything bout cyclists though. Push it up the ramp by the stairs, you still get your exercise.

The channel has a selection of the conspiracy stuff. It has something from Mike King that seems a bit unfair.

Thats a laugh. Can't they do anything with people driving cars without valid registrations and WOFs? Seems like that car shouldn't be on the road to me.

The car was following me, so pretty sure noise was coming from a forward facing speaker behind the grill, not the internal speakers.

OMG that cop has the patience of a saint. Give that man a pay rise.

No wonder crime isn't getting solved when the cops have idiots like that wasting their time.

There are still idiots inviting a car break-in!

Car (Stationwagon) parked outside here (Usually drunk or drugged owner from around the corner where there is no parking) with all his apprentice builder tools FULLY Visible in the back!

Including an open large carry bag of Milwaukee cordless tools! (Lots of them!)

No wonder Insurance is so large! I'm surprised he didn't have an invite to burgle taped to the window - maybe it wasn't required! (The tools caught my eye just walking past!)
