Given half of the NZ EV fleet (5000 vehicles) are 2nd hand Leafs, I'm pretty sure Australia would have a much high take up if they could get them...
-as an aside it would probably also raise the cost to NZers are they would be bidding in the same 2nd hand auctions in JP and the UK
I didn't know that, that explains it perfectly. The emissions/coal argument never made sense since EV's are cleaner even when running on coal.
When it comes to buying EV's New Zealanders understandably buy the second hand models from Japan or the UK.
If we had to buy a new one, we would have a lot less than Australia.
