MikeB4: An EV for us would be a second or third vehicle, if we lived in say Christchurch then it could be a primary vehicle. Unfortunately in Wellington in order to leave our fabulous city one has to climb hills and that hurts range considerably today. In a few years it is not going to be an issue.]
We are the same. An EV would work as the kids' little vehicle (3rd vehicle), but that only cost $7k so ...
There is no EV available in NZ that could do what I ask the Pajero to do. The Mazda 3 I just like. If I could get equal or better performance (range, handling, acceleration & deceleration), aesthetics and comfort at a similar same price I would swap it for an EV.
