FYI: Just in case anyone has a Prius here. I am expert in testing Prius High Voltage Battery for capacity/imbalance.

I use torque all the time with my 97 Toyota Caldina.  For those not getting many results, sometimes you need a specific string of keys and parameters for the software to properly communicate with certain ECUs.  With torque, to enter the custom parameters you needed the paid version.  Others are plug and play and work with the free versio..

Where did you find the requisite strings? My 2000 Caldina GT-T doesn't like my module - I assumed it was just not compatible.

Tried my parents Toyota, older like 97 maybe car?
Worked awesomely well on the Toyota, very cool, but a basic car so very little exciting points to view.

Newer (slightly) Mazda MPV I couldn't find a port on.  Paid for a Mazda to suitable adapter plug component and still didn't work.  Maybe the transmitter wasn't being powered up via the adapter, but by that stage had had enough.

So, worked on one car fine but another car didn't have the right port in the first place.
Cheap Bluetooth to cheap android cell phone.
