Speedometers usually OVER-read and by a fairly linear percentage, not a fixed margin - that is to say they read higher than true - normally 6-10%.


from my observations its about 2-3kph at 50kph and about 4-6 at 100kph

so if your speedo is saying 100 you are actually going 94-96kph

the slower you go the less it over reads

Yep. The speedometers are intentionally calibrated to indicate slightly fast but the odometer & trip meter is usually pretty much spot on.
