jarledb:
My problem with it at the moment is that it crashes on launch on my iPhone  :(

Deleting the app and reinstalling it worked :)

find a gull station and any competitor around there will have low prices, gull are usually the ones to keep the price low and the rest just follow.

the local station to us is normally .12c dearer than the likes of takinini, so we fill up there (wife works down those ways).

i paid $1.739 at lunch time.

you just need to know where to go to get the best deal

Dont fill up at either the Caltex or BP at Bombay. They are always expensive. Fill up anywhere else before you leave Auckland this weekend.

Same goes for pretty much anywhere on SH1... Sanson and Bulls are about 1.99, PN about 1.74

But I've noticed that Tokoroa is cheaper (Gull :) next to BP)

There's also a self-serve Gull at Atiamuri which used to be really cheap, but last time I was there prices had gone up.

The most expensive one I saw yesterday was Zzz at Williamson Ave  in Auckland at $1.99 / L.  Their Pt Chev station is about $1.84.

Mark: Hmmm .. lots of replies of "I get it way cheaper at xxxxxx" .. problem is how much would I spend getting to those places in order to save ? :-)

Plus firing up Waze while on the North Shore the lowest price I see for values updated in the past day in the area is $1.816 ... still quite a bit more than up north.  Someone mentioned there might be a "road tax" for Auckland ?  Anyone know if that's true ?

I'm 99% sure there is no actual extra fuel duty in Auckland.  If I remember correctly, PDB wanted one to fund his train set but the government told him to get lost

Whangarei and tauranga are both industrial import ports, maybe they're preferred over Auckland and are hence closer to the source. (Doesn't explain why Rotorua is so cheap)

Inphinity: $1.99 for 91? You go to the wrong petrol station I think! I pay less than that for 98 at Mobil. North Shore.

Errryyy Single pump in Chur-chur (apart from those dropping 1-2 off for local good)
