mines working perfectly, fault free... no issues except if someone calls from a private number i can't answer the call without pressing the answer on my phone, then the call works fine, all other calls are great. video and audio are perfect for my needs, so is radio. damn good value headset.
Jaxson: So, 6 months on, how are the owners finding these stereos?
Working fine. Biggest annoyance for me, which I didn't cover in my initial post, is that there seems to be a second or two silent delay at the start and end of my MP3s.
What I mean is that the songs play at the 1-2 second mark, so a song that kicks in immediately will miss the first beat/lyric. Similarly at the end.
So if playing a continuous mix CD where they've got a lot of continuous tracks, there's an annoying gap between each one.
Aside from that, I'm happy with the unit, definitely got my money's worth and the fact that my Commodore's steering controls are compatible with it is great for me.
Personally I now love lyric videos, great way to listen to a track and glance at the screen to pick up the lyrics.
Just two wires for the steering wheel controls. In my case I googled up a Commodore forum to identify the ones I had to hook up.
Then it's a case of training the head unit, just hold down the control on the steering wheel and select its function onscreen.
I'm not sure if everyone will be so lucky to get it going, don't know much about these things - not sure if there's a standard for steering wheel controls.
The touch screen is ok, it's responsive and first press is all it takes. Not super precise but there's not much to click on anyway.
Oh, one nice touch is the ability to change the startup logo to show a manufacturer's badge (Ford, Toyota etc).
yes you can make bluetooth calls just fine. it has a built in microphone and also a clip on one that runs off a cord, i had no need for the clip on as the built in works well..
another thing i like is you can have the volume turned right down, or even the unit off and if your phone receives a call it comes on to answer it and also adjusts the volume accordingly.
caller id /phone book comes up on the screen to say who's calling.
