I need the first production one to be sold in july, there's a $20 bet with my boss in it for me.  Looking like I might take that out.

30 are being delivered to customers on July 28th.....so you'll win that bet.

Dont know about the model 3 - But have definitely noticed several Teslas here in Auckland in the last few weeks - the X and the S models.

Could be the same vehicles I keep seeing (I should really take notice)- but I guess they are officially sold here now - so could be we start to see a few more on the road.

There a now 168 Teslas in NZ....with 112 of those being registered since Jan 1. Most are around Auckland.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know what the Hyundai Ioniq costs?

A stuff article earlier this year suggested $60k but who knows if that is accurate.

I couldn't see the price on Hyundai's website or on the show car they had at WLG last week.

Unusual, because Hyundai provides the price for their other cars.

As @Wellygary said, $59.990.

They don't discount for single cars. But if you're going to buy 10 or 20......talk to them.

And I've seen a total of one tongue-out (hooked up to the charger in Quay St, Whakatane).

I saw one in action in 2013 when I was in the US though; we were following it down the highway laughing

and of the 5 other people I showed it to :)

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

American styling. Imo they look nicer on the road than in pictures.

Not having any grille on the front does look unusual - I think they should have added one even if it was just for appearance.

Edit: After all, it does have vestigial exhaust ports in the rear bumper!

Elon Musk is really a South African, so all credit in that department should go to the jappies :-)

Actually the car is styled by Franz von Holzhausen, previously from Mazda. See the resemblance?

Sure, I get it's popular, but I wonder how many of those people think it's ugly as well?

If it suited my needs, I'd consider one regardless of looks, I am just saying, it's ugly.

Um, most people won't shell out their cash for something they think is ugly so the answer I expect is very few.

People shell out their cash for all sorts of ugly things, Holdens, Fords, mazda's... This car looks and performs better than all of those.

+ It has one important feature which other cars dont have, its a Tesla. :-)

I don't believe that (most) of them think they are ugly.

The model 3 IMHO ain't ugly. It's just rather generic looking.
