Batman:

every dealer i contacted said the are legally unable to sell to someone who doesn't have a UK address.

any ideas?

really need to contact these companies - @networkn any suggestions?

Kiwi importers will either have the required UK address or deal with an agent who does. That's part of their added value. Importing a car yourself is minefield......enjoy the booms. :-)

networkn:

What are you exactly trying to do ?

If you call Sally or Lincoln and ask them to find you an Audi RS6 (I think a newer RS4 would be better personally) for $100K in your driveway, they will investigate and offer you some options.

If you find a car at a dealer and ask them to facilitate importing a specific vehicle, that may be more of an issue (I am not saying that this is the case categorically).

I did the latter. Using the same people as my agents. In short they have an agent in the UK that handles that side of the transaction.

Of course the service isn't cheap ($3k+GST rings a bell from some years ago), but really this isn't something viable to do on your own.
