Looks like Tesla's Model Y will begin shipping to customers in February. This news saw TSLA market capitalisation hit US$100 billion, second only to Toyota.

I don't know when the RHD version will be available.

It will. It seems to take a while.

There should be no wait, unless you had uploaded the video to Youtube yourself and was waiting for it to finish processing.

I have fixed the Youtube code in your post now.

What was wrong with it? I'd like to know how to do it correctly. :-)

Not sure what you did to cause it, but the information about how to use the BBCode to add the video is linked in the editor when you edit your post. You can also find that information here.

Ah! You use only the video code, not the whole URL.

That's what I have been doing wrong.

Thank you.

Looks like Tesla are finally getting to a point where they can start to leverage the tricks the big manufacturers use with common platforms, allowing it to bring cars to marker early.....

I am waiting for someone to do a proper electric performance wagon - then I am on board for sure!

Continuing the Tesla naming convention can we hope that either the Model "M" or model "F" might give me what I want?

I don't know if you'll see a true wagon from an American company since the wagon is basically dead in the US, having been replaced by the crossover and the SUV. The Model Y looks pretty close to a wagon version of the Model 3 tho

BOOOO HIIIIISSSSSS. Americans designing vehicles needs to not be a thing. I too are wanting some sort of wagon (would love an A4 like BEV)

An Electric BMW M340i, Audi S4 Avant, or an C43 AMG Estate would make me so happy!

I honestly can't understand why there isn't one. Europeans love wagons.

Used too. They used to love cars like the Mondeo too.

Estate/wagon sales are about 1/10th the saloon/hatch version and that market has fallen off a cliff when steamrollered by the SUV/CUV market.

There is a chance a Tesla wagon will happen. The new Berlin gigafactory will have its own product design studio, similar to the China gigafactory which is going to be designing a smaller car for the Asian market. Since wagon's are a big thing in Europe, it could be a safe bet that the Europe specific car that factory would be making could be a wagon.

If the Y isn't here till end of 2021, then any e-Wagon isn't going to be here for a long time.

Looks like ICE for me this time around. It's a shame, I'd really like to go EV, but the Y isn't practical enough compared to a wagon. I am going to guess they also won't be magically overcoming the physics of a higher center of gravity with all the downsides of that.
