My CX-5 is quite slow to connect with CarPlay, but it works (MZD Connect system).

My CX-5 was always a bit slow to connect but it would always eventually connect until I got the car serviced in late 2021 and since then it's intermittently failed to connect altogether. It seems to be totally random.

They must have installed a software update during that service and consequently broken it.

I did a self install of the parts for CarPlay / Firmware update so no chance of the dealership messing up!

Sorry to necro this thread, but it seemed the best one to necro!

It looks like a bit has changed in the development of wireless carplay adapters since 2023. It seems the latest generation take a hybrid approach of Bluetooth and Wifi to mitigate any issues with lag.

As such, was wondering if any other fellow geekzone contributors have recent experience with Carplay wireless adapters and what their experiences are?
