Typical Jag, if it can't leak oil it'll leak electrons!

Two of the most impressive supercars I've ever driven were XKR and XKRS and I can assure you, those aren't your grandfather's Jags! They were considerably lower priced than many of the other cars I've driven and were every bit as good to drive and with amazing performance.

But yeah, I understand the sentiment.

Sadly, not that I could ever afford one, the days of Jags being considerably cheaper than the competition will soon be gone, if not gone already, from the bits I've read about their plans for the future.

Very true. I'll be lucky to afford a wheel nut soon...

They are if your grandfather bought one of several affected petrol models this year, or in the last few years:

https://www.carscoops.com/2023/02/2023-land-rovers-range-rovers-and-jaguars-may-leak-oil/

and I believe there's a few more minor oil issues recently with no recall required.

Which will be of cold comfort to those 8.

Still, taken as a whole, EV is still the vehicle type least likely to burst into flames:

Loved the responses to the Stuff article all saying how Hybrid was the best and safest!!

The damage an EV Fire does because of the Lithium Battery is going to be pretty horrific.

Interesting number on the hybrids. I'd like to see those graphed by manufacturer and plug-in hybrid vs trad hybrid.
