Yes it is. However I did ask the dealer in Christchurch if they could get one and they said that Yamaha NZ weren’t bringing them because they weren’t popular sellers.

They did bring in the first iteration bit I’m unsure whether the later GT version was sold here. They look a bit odd but pretty much every review I’ve seen ends up being positive.

While we're here - can anyone recommend an instructor on the North Shore? Always wanted to start on the motorcycle journey, finally got to a point where I might have the time and the budget; but at the same time am no longer confident about my abilities. Which is probably as good a starting point as you'd hope for.

So jealous @Linux

We went to the factory last year in Bologna.

I’m working on the business case approvals for adding a multi-strada to the vehicle pool at home.

For some reason I love the idea of having a sidecar motorbike.  Take the dog on a few road trips.

There is a great (among others) FortNine video about the physics of these and how they unexpectedly steer.

@jonherries v4 multi-strada? The v4 street fighter is just insane so went for the v2 (plus cost)

This is an interesting question - the v4 has the conventional valve rather than desmo right?

Agree the v4s are insanely powerful...

The ones I like have a drive shaft to the sidecar wheel, so you get more predictable steering.  But yeah ... completely different to a two-wheeler.

I'd probably be divorced if I bought a motorbike though!

@jonherries as I understand Cam chain/s instead of belt I am sure they still have desmo

The v2 I am getting has cam chain/s
