Linuxluver:

Free sunshine will do most of the time. $0 per charge.

Plus the capital cost of two Tesla Powerwalls and a load of PV panels I guess.....

And a car deteriorating living outside in the elements all it's life.

Feels like we're back at that record level, I noticed our local BP just put 91 up today to $2.45.9 but still seems a bit cheaper if there is a Gull or Foodstuffs (Pak n Save or New World Fuel) station nearby.

Waitomo isn't anything special now price wise.

I'm keeping car use low where I can, working from home more. Did have a look at the local EV/Hybrid dealer too the other day.

I filled up my project car a little while back (10L at a time :)) and was surprised that 98 was over $2.50 per litre. My work car takes 91 so I hadn't paid attention to the higher octanes.

This thread is about fuel prices, not EVs. Stay on topic please folks.

98 at BP Pukekohe yesterday: 2.809/litre

Because some people don't get the 'stay on topic' part of my previous post, I've hidden recent posts not discussing fuel prices. This is not an EV thread!

I've found NPD to be a welcome addition to the Auckland market, their site in Wiri seems busy whenever I go by and prices are pretty good for their range.

Don't worry the government is coming to the rescue with mandatory price sign boards from Feb 2022... It will follow on from the great price reductions we all got from the terminal gate pricing requirement on 11 August.... Oh wait,.... we've moved on to Supermarkets now...

Gaspy is telling me the 95 is $2.42 at Gull Forrest Hill (Akl Nth Shore) at the lowest  and 98 is $2.83.9 at BP Herne Bay (Central AKL) at the other end of the expense scale.

How long before we tip over the $3.00 a litre mark for premium, on a permanent basis?

Did we get close to $2.50 for 98 a decade ago? I remember having a car that took it then and I thought $3 per litre surely had to be the break point.

Waiheke might not be far off $3 based on my experience there.

Last time I fueled at Barrier it was >$3, if I recall correctly I was unable to enter the value and had to submit it manually (I'm sure Gaspy has that capability now).
