$2.52 & $2.53 across the big 4 companies in Invercargill this morning.

$2.44 @ Allied is the cheapest.

All without discounts.

edit - for 91

Bumped in Canterbury again today too. Sigh

BP is 2.49, while Z etc are about 2.41 (naturally up the day of their 10c discount.)

So off to npd which delays a day later to top off which still beats z's discounted

The false discounting is causing super disparity even across the city. Rangiora got an npd, and close prox to bp and PnS it made it ~8c less than the city in general

Caltex rebranded, and bp leeches 12c more, so it's almost a z controlled area ~10c more than chc with zs standard pricing as the guide.

A lot of stations around the Wellington region now selling 91 for over $3/L.

I've cut my car (Mazda 3) back to minimal use, my wife's car is a Leaf so we do all our errands in that now. Trying to use public transport more in the hope they don't hike prices but I suspect the bus operators will be hurting. Being able to Work from home is a blessing too with keeping transport costs down but don't want to even guess on where the ceiling is to all these rises, got a bad feeling $4/L for 98 could be possible?

It was double hit on Friday. 4 in the AM, 6 in the PM

And today it looks like 10-12c.

It's nuts. NPD and Mckowans etc busy on way home. NPD was 2.63/s over the weekend here, with at 2.79

On way home z was 2.92!

Share tank time with Z! Bought more fuel yesterday. Saving well over 20c in just 1.5 weeks.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Really does depend on the area. Where I am the best price Z offers is $2.999/L within 30km. Looking at Gaspy there are still stations selling fuel for less than that 2.2km from me (even before taking discounts into consideration) so Sharetank is actually more expensive for me.

Was mindblown today. Local petrol was $2.90ish on the weekend, Waitomo $2.74. Today, local station was $3.04..

I thought I'd have my Mazda 3 until it ran into the ground... but at this rate, electric/hybrid will come sooner.

Verging on 45c per km now in just fuel costs. Might have to finally pull finger and get a wof on the toyota since it uses 2/3 the gas of the falcon.

At $3L my Corolla is less than 18c per km. It's pretty miserly.

Yikes. I filled up this morning and was shocked to see Caltex at $2.98 (Whakatane). I drove the extra two minutes to Gull and paid $2.87 instead, which is still a lot but thankfully lower than the $3.48 quoted above!

I bought a hybrid six months ago so fortunately I don't need to fill it up as much, but it still feels like I'm paying through the nose...
