Also i noticed the difference in test driving. The Giltrap (Holden) sales person drove me out of the "city" before i could drive and he was with me. Winger (Subaru) gave me the keys and said bring it back in a couple of hours. In both cases i left my car for them to price.

MikeAqua: I'm in Nelson.  Our local Mazda are excellent.  They took us quickly and competently through all the electronic stuff when we picked the car up.  Made sure we both had our phones set up correctly (iPhone and sammie). Showed us everything electronic you need to know for daily use of the car.

I don;t expect a car dealer to know the bluetooth ins and outs of every phone on the market, but they should know the cars systems back to front.

My Mazda dealer was the same - definitely no complaints.

My Mazda dealer was the same. Maybe it is something that Mazda trains staff especially for.
