Yes, you don't play (as opposed to pootling around) with GT3's unless you are very, very good.

PASM is Porsche's active damper management system, system can't be turned off, there are two modes - normal and sport, it shouldn't make the car twitchy.

IIRC this 997 GT3 has traction control but no electronic stability control.

A Porsche guy looking at this car's VIN, engine and chassis numbers tells me this isn't even a real GT3 !

It's a regular 911 dressed up.

So we have a pretend GT3 and numpty driver !

For the trifecta hope cops do him for the dodgy fake Europlates too !

What makes him say that? Looking at the carjam report, it appears to be a genuine GT3.

Yeah they do. Problem is though, IIRC, that the data is encrypted and Porsche don't hand it over to authorities willy-nilly, as it could be bad for business.

Porsche have as much if not more to lose reputationally from claims the car randomly flipped. They will be keen to check this out now this gentleman has made public claims.

Yes - but only of the story being told by the guy was credible to current or potential future owners. Better to keep schtung unless some authority wanted to poke their nose in - unlikely if nobody died.

Often after a car has gone off the road you'll see the steering wheels at full lock indicating that the driver attempted to turn in to control over-steer or fish tailing, but run out of steering due to being so far over-cooked.

Judging by the photos, the steering wheels are pointing more or less straight ahead and it's off the inside of the corner. Combined with the "no idea what happened" statement, it looks suspiciously like driver didn't know what the proper corrective action was to take and he simply demoted himself to passenger after it over-steered on him (like rear engine cars do when pushed too hard).

Once it bites into the soft grass going sideways, over she will go. It takes a far bit of energy to flip a car 2.5 times so I wouldn't think he was going 50kph. Not all curtain airbags are designed to deploy in a roll-over. Frontal airbags won't, because that would serve no useful purpose.
