Got 'em! The vehicle has been identified and the thief is known to Police.

Thanks to the Geekzone members who assisted with this matter.

That's great. Keep us posted on what happens from here.

Not being interested and not having the resources are quite different. Plus comparing a murder to a theft! Obviously a murder is going to get more attention from the Police, media and public.

Ah yes, the old "we can't afford to put a fence at the top of the cliff but we'll keep sending ambulances to the bottom" argument. Most offenders start small and graduate up the seriousness ladder. Most offenders have committed dozens of crimes before their first conviction.

One of the individuals was arrested and appeared in court yesterday. She won't give up the name of the second individual, but we have managed to obtain some audio from another camera that may assist in that matter.

Unfortunately, I may not be able to give any further updates. These matters tend to be drawn out for months if not years, by which time this thread will be locked and forgotten. An individual involved in another burglary almost three years ago (attempted to gain access to our shed but couldn't defeat an $11 lock) is still awaiting sentencing due to his maintaining his innocent plea until the last minute, then repeatedly not turning up for sentencing. Justice is a slow process.
