With the holiday update Tesla added a light show fun feature where the car flashes its lights and opens its various controlled doors in sync with a music clip. They've also add the ability to create your own

Yawn, I'd far sooner the money I pay towards development as part of the purchase price be spent on more worthwhile functions/features.

Lol, alright mate...

It was one feature from a list of new improvements added with this update. How many new features did your car get in its recent update?

My car doesn't require continual on going updates.

I don't buy a car to be used as a toy for the amusement of family, friends or neighbours.

Oh so there's no new features in the model year replacing yours that you'd have to buy a whole new car to get?

But yeah it's pretty clear you're a no fun kind of person. "A car must only be a utility 😡!"

Clearly one product suits people who tinker with computers as a hobby, while a completely different product suits people who just want a simple utilitarian vehicle.

Could we not just respect each others' right to spend our own money as we see fit?

Sure, but this is a Tesla Model 3 thread. You're in the wrong thread if you don't like a techy car.

Lol, sure, call me a fanatical if you wish, but what exactly do you hope to achieve by participating in this thread? You clearly don't like a techy car yet Tesla's are well known as being techy cars - that's their thing. Clearly the car and brand is not a good fit for you so nit picking throughout the thread that the car's too techy and expecting Tesla to address that is like wishing Apple to release MacOS as its own product.

I don't think me pointing out what you can't see for yourself is "fanatical"

As a car guy who’s been quite anti EV until recently the model 3 is a great car. I love driving it, the balance and power as well as grunt when you need it, sharp steering. It’s really a top class drive EV or not. I still appreciate burning rubber in my other cars but can’t knock the model 3 for driving dynamics. The software is the cherry on top and you have to live with it to appreciate it.

Imo in reality many cars could use a few updates but the manufacturers are not that keen on wearing the r&d costs to provide them. They spend on next year's model instead.

Before I answer your question about new features, tell me, what are all these amazing upgrades you keep getting on your Tesla?

My car brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. On a typical winding New Zealand secondary road it will comfortably see off most cars.
