To close out my initial post in the thread, I have now fitted S001's to my vehicle as of this morning - it drives significantly different and the road noise is much less. I decided against moving from RF to Non-RF for now.
If anyone is looking for tyres in Auckland, I highly recommend Gordon from Dairy Flat Tyres - a small one-man band, but a really honest and friendly gentleman, with knowledge to share and a workshop pup that likes to visit, just for a bonus. 

 

I went to him on a recommendation from a friend of mine, and I will probably now go to him in future unless I physically can't get to him (dairy flat is a bit of a distance away from the CBD). He did a great deal for me on a full set, got them in on the same day, and then fitted them the following morning. Couldn't ask for a better service imo.

 

To those that mentioned it earlier in the thread regarding tyre age - The Parelli's which I replaced were from 2015 - the ones that have just gone on (a full matching set) were from May 2021 - so fairly new tyres.

I did end up having a chat with him before I went to the place above - Aaron was super helpful, and priced up some PS4 and then some S001's for me, but I ended up going elsewhere - not at all a reflection of Aaron or JP Tyres though. A close friend recommended DFT to me, so went with that.
