But to circle back to my original point. It’s okay for a multinational car rental company to buy 100s of EVs and get millions in rebates AND claim the gst back as well.

Admittedly accounting and related topics make my brain actively rebel against the horrific boredom, but in my limited understanding a business can only claim back GST for stock that is then on-sold. Anything purchased to be used by the company (even if it is used for the purposes of producing revenues) is still taxed. Therefore, a rental company would no more be able to claim back GST on cars they rent out than they would on chairs or computers, surely?

It is input output.

Many older people find sedans too low when compared to SUVs, for getting in and out of. I know someone who wouldn't buy the model 3 for this very reason.

One of the reasons I cancelled my second order for a Model 3 was that my wife didn't like sitting so low. It hurt her back on longer drives (2 hours or more).

So we got an MG ZS EV instead. I hope you get a Model Y next year. Provided it's a higher ride than the Model 3.

How has the MG been going? I think I remember soon after you got it that it needed an update for its BMS as it wasn't calculating range properly...how's it been since then?

mock them as much as you like, with so many Chinese EV makers trying their luck, if one strikes the right note you will have a VWAG / Toyota in the making like Huawei.

I quite like the BYD Han from a bling and toy perspective. Be interesting with the blade batteries.

Traffic Jam inside Elon Musk’s Las Vegas Tunnel

A video has surfaced on social media showing Tesla vehicles stuck in a traffic jam inside Elon Musk’s Las Vegas tunnel, which was built to alleviate the city’s above-ground traffic problems.

The footage, taken from inside a Tesla vehicle, shows clogged traffic in the narrow underground single-lane tunnel. Built by the Boring Company, the ‘Loop’ tunnel runs from the Las Vegas Convention Center's West Hall to the South Hall and back.

This will be everybody rushing to CES 2022 to see the EVs.

From Youtube blurb: "Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that the Tesla Cybertruck will go into 'volume production' in 2023.

The EV brand confirmed earlier this year that the electric pick-up was delayed and wouldn’t go on sale until 2022 due to various issues, including the global semiconductor shortage. "

That and $5 will buy you a cup of coffee.

The Jetson 1 is pretty cool but also pretty useless as a means of reliable transportation. Basically an aerial version of an electric scooter. In other words a $92,000USD toy.
