To some extent it doesnt matter how good the cameras and AI/crash avoidance is, physics, people and other cars will cause accidents.
It can only stop so quickly.
WRT 5 minute charging.
I guess they will just plug the cable directly into a hydro dam (or nuclear power plant). When you consider a domestic house supply maxes out at about 15kW (240Vx63A), then a bank of chargers capable of a 5 min charge time (20 to 80% on a 80kWh battery = 576kW times the number of chargers) is probably going to brown-out the town. So, nice in theory, but the DC cable from the charger to the car is not going to be the primary constraint.

Faster chargers already have on site battery buffers for this.
RobDickinson:That's the way I understand Hampton Downs set up their EV chargers.

Totally fair and unbiased testing and reporting by a lidar sensor manufacturer there.
lets ignore that tesla have aced the US and European pedestrian collision tests.

Its the Luminar pump thread?
I'm really liking the EV6 from Kia! Thanks for posting out the video, its worth a watch.
Can't wait to test drive one!
The little things make the biggest difference.

Its the Luminar pump thread?
if you are unable to discover what thread this is then i am unable to assist further
Its a thread on Evs not self driving or lidar or safety overall.
RobDickinson:
Eh we'll probably get there but no car (ourside the rimac) is making use of the 350kw chargers we have already yet
E-tron GT does I think.
No the etron gt and taycan top out at about 270kw at the moment
