Ah afik only a tesla will be displaying dog mode and temp on the screen
They should get a note to pin to the window or something

The screen inside tells whoever is looking in
I think when people are so intently focused on the dog they may well be unware of the display. Even did not listen to her explanation. This is not a tesla, not sure what the screen says .
Oh, what brand of EV is it?
Most EVs have some form of keep climate active/camp mode you can stick on I think
alasta: Mainstream manufacturers, in contrast, apply the kaizen methodology which has been highly successful among Japanese car manufacturers for many decades but is ostensibly too conservative for computer geeks who want the latest gadgets.
Hot with anticipation of the Kia EV6! I'm holding off looking at petrol SUVs currently.

The little things make the biggest difference.
alasta: The IONIQ5 and EV6 are dedicated electric platforms and, in my view, the most exciting electric vehicles on the market at the moment. Hopefully they will become more affordable over the next few years.
I didn't necessarily mean exciting in terms of driving experience - I was referring to the anticipation of a new generation of electric vehicles that appeal to people like me who don't fit into Tesla's target market.

Assume the RWD small battery one will slip in under the $80k limit

The "Air' is pretty much bang on £40K in the UK so they should be able to squeeze it under,

I have driven a mid-range Ioniq5 and I was far from being blown away by it.
every time i look at a pic of the EV6 i get excited (i have a soft spot for shooting brakes). if it drives like it looks it would be rather exciting.
while Tesla steering rack is built for maximum rotation and motors are tuned to deliver max push (? is it the motor design) other cars seem to focus on other things so maybe that's what you find exciting in the tesla? or the minimalism or the glass roof?

what what??
alasta:RunningMan:This is the key point though. Forgetting floor mats is one thing, but missing such a safety critical item is bizarre. I would have thought there would be multiple levels of QC to make sure this couldn't occur.
People really need to think carefully about their situation and personality type when choosing to purchase a car made by a tech company, versus one made by a traditional auto maker.
Tech companies design radical products and do so on a best effort basis, with the assumption that they can issue an 'update' to fix their mistakes. Mainstream manufacturers, in contrast, apply the kaizen methodology which has been highly successful among Japanese car manufacturers for many decades but is ostensibly too conservative for computer geeks who want the latest gadgets.
I know which I prefer, but it's good that the market is catering towards different types of buyers.
even with all coverage on youTube, I still need to see the EV6 up close and personal. I can't quite conclude if its wow, or (polestar) "urghhh" !!!

On the nz Tesla owners fb group, a nz Tesla owner who is now very close to 200,000 km, hasn’t required new brake pads..
Not sure what your point is. Pretty sure my 1500 kg empty weight ICE vehicle went well over 200,000 on a set of pads.
