I see that the MG ZS EV has dropped off the NZ web site at some time in the last week or so.They only have the petrol ZS models there now.
I wonder if this means they've run out of stock and/or are awaiting the arrival of the 2022 ZS EV with choice of larger batteries?

There is a new model MG ES EV in the UK with a greatly improved interior. I guess that is why its dropped off NZ site, new model coming?
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

ES? Do you mean the up coming 2022 model ZS? There is already an existing long range version of the ZS (440 km range WLTP Combined). Not certain where the '500-km-range' in the URL comes from or what it relates to?

According to the Driven article below, the facelift 2022 ZS is not expected in AU until Q3. Unlikely to arrive here any earlier.

Old model still showing on this site

As per previous post, it seems the 2022 version is still some time off.

Yes there are a few dealer sites that still show it, but if you click on 'Find out more' they just redirect you to the MG NZ site.

hobsonlea: I took the ioniq 5 for a couple of test drives, I like it of all the evs I tried. pity its so expensive here.
went for the tesla model 3, mines due end Feb.
I sat in one when I was BrendanFoot motors a week ago testing some Kia and Hyundai ICE's. It looked nice but I resisted the urge to test drive in case I really liked it and then can't afford the $72K (after rebate) price.

I have started a thread for EV test drive comments. By all means give your opinions/impressions of the Ioniq5 in that. It may help someone.

Kia price AU
https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/2022-kia-ev6-pricing-and-features-australia
Interesting... In AU (unlike the US) the cheapest EV6 is going to be priced lower than the equivalent Ioniq 5; Also, according to that link the AU base model has a 168kw/350nm motor and 77.4kwh battery and is to be priced at AU $68k. In NZ, the base model is a less interesting 125kw/350nm and lower capacity 58kwh - and what's the bet that it still comes in close to, and is the only model under, the $80k mark?
It'll be interesting to see what Kia NZ prices the "EV6 Air Rear-Wheel-Drive Long Range" at - this is the second-from-bottom model in NZ and seems to be similar/same spec as the entry-level Aus; that'll be enough range for me, and if the boot is of decent enough size and the car is more interesting to drive than the Ioniq 5 it may well be a potential alternative to the Y, which shows no signs of getting here...
