Audi has finally announced some Avant Electric models. They look so sexy! Unfortunately, it seems they will stupidly expensive. RS6 pricing for an A6.

Heh, that's weird, that post above didn't show when I posted my comment!

Guess it won't be long before per capita EV sales in AU exceed NZ?

I'll believe it when my dad orders one. (To be fair, he's had several non-plugin hybrids).

Same issue applies here; ie. lack of international-grade emissions targets for new cars.  Or should that be 'for cars new to NZ' here.

That's going to be a pretty well-rounded vehicle by the time it gets to NZ - if it ever actually does.

Feel sorry for the NZ wings of companies watching people overseas scramble to buy these things with no hope of ever being able to supply locally.

The ID3 fills out a pretty useful niche between the 308 hatch and the Konas/Leafs of the world, but I suspect here it would be priced well above what the E-Golf was offered at.

When I asked about an ETA in the ID4 in NZ, the salesperson told me September/October. The caveat to that is I asked the question in January and they didn’t actually include which year.

I see the Giltrap Group has started advertising the Skoda PHEV, but they don’t have stock and a long wait.

It was a rented 2018 Tesla S. So he better have paid for the premium insurance.

The owner said it as "BLM" model, which has even Tesla forums confused.

Also have the ENYAQ iV on their site which looks very interesting, guessing based off the same platform. Unfortunately we pay a very large VAG group premium out here.

If it was priced right, it'll sell like hotcakes. I'm guessing it'll be well north of $80k+ by the time any now standard features are added to the messily base options.
