This is my last "flying Tesla" post.

Teslarati: Flying Tesla case takes new turn as man who claimed to be Model S’ driver denies involvement

...After initially claiming to be the driver of the ill-fated vehicle, social media influencer Dominykas “Durte Dom” Zeglaitis has clarified that he actually lied about his involvement in the stunt.

...The TikTok personality [stated] that he simply edited himself into the video of the jumping Model S

...His TikTok account had since been banned following the spread of the flying Tesla video, and Zeglaitis noted that he had experienced a lot of criticism online. “You can’t believe everything you see on the internet. The media likes to capitalize on the downfall of public figures and if they don’t have a story to attack, they will create one,” Zeglaitis said.

This is quite ironic considering that Zeglaitis was the one who inserted himself into the situation by claiming he was behind the stunt.

i have looked at so many EVs, none of them suit to blast through rural Otago Southland. so keeping the old Leaf as a city car and will smell victory every morning when I travel.

meanwhile ... if this thing can drive itself, charge itself, there is hope for the 6 of us though i suspect one of us will be miss a kidney in return

i have watched a youtube channel where someone is driving way too fast in USA and the channel says - it's filmed in Mexico using green screens for a production and the result is highly edited and not real ...

I guess they fooled the LAPD, all news outlets, the GoFundMe for the an innocent bystander's damage, the garage who offered to fix the bystander's car, and many Californians who know the event, and the street.

Qanon would be proud. :)

Lawsuits will abound, so I'm not surprised they said it was all a hoax.

The impression I got from my local Kia salesman was the first couple of shipments were “spoken for”. So anyone waiting to test drive before ordering will probably have to wait a while for delivery. Still that’s not any different when the Kona and Niro were first released in NZ.

Glad to see them offer a 2wd long range for under $80K. The article didn’t mention the Polestar 2 which also has more than one model under $80K.

It will be interesting to see how they price the Niro EV when the next generation lands later this year. Surely it will have to undercut the EV6 by a decent margin?

That's a nice Lotus. The video (Carfection) I watched guesstimated a starting price of around $100,000 pounds.

Great article mentioned in user comments

Slate: Killer Truck, Dude

...I’m not saying you’re a murderer if you own a gigantic truck. I’m saying you’re a manslaughterer. If you do kill a person, it won’t be because you carefully planned it. It’ll happen totally by accident, and you’ll be horrified. The person you kill, if it happens, won’t be some jerk who wronged you. They won’t deserve it at all. Heck, there’s a solid chance it’ll be a toddler.

Does this make you feel bad? It should!
