Engine mounts? How hard did you driver her for that to occur? Or was it a defected part being repalced?
I could contest your gas mileage with my BMW straight 6, My 2.8 uses more around town and on the highway than my 4.4 V8 540 did. $160 tank of 98 lasts around 400KM.

Dunno if it was my driving or the mount(s) that were defective - or maybe I'm defective :P

Gas mileage is around 14l/100k - and I drive approx half on open road and half in traffic - so it could be worse :/ - and yeah 65 litre tank I generally get about 450ks - so it is useful that my partner has a 1.4L Cruze to make up for my carbon footprint :)

I love the 75 litre fuel tank and 2.2meter + boot when the seats are folded of the VT -VZ wagon :)

My E36 wagon fits more than a E36 Coupe or sedan :) 2-3 suit cases tops in the rear. (Pathetic for a wagon)

Oh my god, Look what i found on google, This is witch craft.
So that is why those stupid little hooks are there! See the net at the front there!

Edit, Thats an e39 boot but we all now know anyway why they are there.
I hope your lives have improved from this breakthrough.

Had a Vauxhall Cavalier circa 1997 as a company car once - that's a holden with a different badge on, I guess.

1979 VB 3.3 SL manual Mosaic Blue one of the first New Zealand assembled ones.

1981 VC 3.3 SL manual Mosaic Blue
Both from new.

1987 VL 3.0 Calais Shadow tone Light Blue/Silver bought at 18,000 km in 1992 sold in 2004 at 275,000. Bloody good performer. That engine was as smooth as silk all the way to the red line.

2003 VY 3.8 S manual Red. Bought in 2004 at 20,000 km still going strong today at nearly 350,000 km.

Every one of them gave good reliable motoring.

Hope to be able to get one of the last VF models. Then I will have owned a Commodore spanning the whole production timeframe.

I have a confession to make for which I am truly ashamed, I made a deliberate omission from my list. Ashamed not for leaving off the list but for actually owning one of these horrible, hateful, hideous, nasty, useless, disgusting creations from the depths of hell. It was without doubt the worse car I ever owned, (and I owned a Morris 1100) and the last used car I ever purchased. It haunts me that I owned one of them, it will torment until I leave this world that I actually handed over cash for one of the demons. There is a special place in hell for these abominations.

Ha, is that a Sunbird? I nearly bought one of these in my 20's as it was 'almost' a Torana.

I once owned a Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6...it was SPECTACULARLY slow for a V6, i sold it when the cabin kept filling up with smoke...(engine wasn't too healthy apparently!)

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

My Granddad had an HT Kingswood. Lots of childhood memories.

I learned to drive in my Dad's 1972 HQ Kingswood, 253 V8 auto. I loved that car. After we rear-ended another car on the desert road, it came back from the panel beaters with black stripes on the bonnet, black window trim and Ward mag wheels. Dad pushed the boat out!

In my  teenage years, I had exclusive use of my Dad's company HZ ute. Not sure how I would go with a bench seat these days, but that car was one of my favourites.

In my 20's, I bought a 83 Camira and, even though it was significantly under powered, I loved that car.

Only other Holden I owned was a 2001 2.2 (Opel) Vectra. Great car to drive, but a lot of coin to maintain as electronic engine sensors regularly failed and were expensive to replace.

I have a fondness for the Holden brand for nostalgia reasons, but, to be honest, Holden's service levels in recent years have been a disgrace. It's a brand that has a place in history, but its time has come. RIP

(ps. and I regret never purchasing that Torana I always wanted!)

I grew up in very much a Ford household, where Holden was a dirty word.
But I bought a VS wagon and loved it, just sold it at the end of last year.
Would love to own an HT Monaro.

I've been itching to post in this thread since it appeared, waiting for my mate to upgrade so that I could buy his.  I am now the proud owner of a VF SV6.
