Ferrari have broken the Internet with their first ever EV. Looks like a love child between a Jag iPace and a BYD.

I'd like to out on record that this is the worst looking Ferrari in history (in my opinion).
There's just no realistic need for it to be so awful.
Jonny Ive is wholly responsible for this and he's got a spotty record.

Shrink it down, and it's basically a computer mouse. Maybe Jonny Ive should stick to designing computer equipment.

That Ferrari (~$640k USD)  is a few KW more power than the now discontinued Tesla Model S Plaid (~$120k USD).

It also appears a little slower in the 0-60mph test (2.5s for the Ferrari and 1.99s for the Tesla).

(Just the figures I found onine)

The range on that Model S plaid was 368 miles and the Ferrari is 329 miles.

The Tesla was limited to 200mph and the Ferrari has a top of 193mph.

I know people that buy/can afford Ferraris do not think like mere mortals - and I applaud Ferrari for making an EV, but....

I suspect the 'look at me' 'brrrm brrrm' Peter Pans will not buy them.

'Family' Ferrari????

I thought it looked quite nice in blue:

There are Rumours the head engineer at Tesla is keen to do a tri-motor 'plaid' Model 3

EDIT: Added photo.

Doesn't scream Ferrari to me.. my money is that is will become the worst selling Ferrari in History,

Also Ferrari are picky about who they sell things to, so they might drive sales down even more

Same paint colours ? The Leaf looks like a nice car - glad Nissan got their mojo back. Ferrari has always been a w**kers car.

I expect this will be a commercial disaster.

But what do I know about the high end car market?

BTW, what happened to Jaguar's controversial re-branding and that electric car marketing promotion?

Looks like they’ve toned down the concept which is a shame.

Aren't most concept cars toned down when they actually enter mass production?

Spoke to Ebbets yesterday afternoon - They are sold out of the first tranche of these, 2026 MG ZS EV ZSEV EV Excite 51kWh | Trade Me Motors

But are working to get more.

Wild - especially if they have been hanging around since January.

When I spoke to them late last week they had 10 white and 3 black.

So a little later than expected I finally have it.

Seems good - nice little car - though I prefer the leaf style shape over the SUV.

Still, good price considering.

Relatively short range for a very popular vehicle.
I have a feeling this will not take many sales away from the hybrids...

Yes, range was slightly disappointing. Although the pricing is excellent when put into context with other top end utes.

I think the range will take a lot away from what is otherwise an excellent package.

I have a feeling that was the whole point of making it so borderline blah.

If the riddara did not exist, this would look a whole lot different. But it does, and other than xeonophobes I am not sure who would go for a toyota over the geely.

Based on the reviews I've seen I'm guessing the Hilux will be significantly better than the Riddara RD6 in the usual rural scenarios. It will take a while before a head to head review comes out.

Geely's dealerships are main centers only. The audience is limited.

Toyota is nearly everywhere it needs to be for rural customers.
