We should provide DNA analysis to health insurers to determine the premium we pay too

Geektastic: It would be interesting if they introduced vehicle Black Boxes here.

A number of UK insurers require them as a condition of insurance for people who are just starting out, and also offer premium discounts to other drivers who volunteer for them.

I believe they monitor speed, brake force and so on to provide further information for analysis in the event of an accident.

Most modern cars have this already. Police can access the data when investigating the cause of a crash.

So I just received my $30 infringement notice for doing 5km/h over the speed limit (90 km/h) at Easter. I am normally fastidious about setting the cruise control at or just below the posted limit particularly during holiday weekends so I am a little perplexed about the circumstances. But for $30 it's not worth pursuing. All they have done is annoyed someone who tries to play by the rules. I am firmly of the opinion that the best way to avoid fines is not to speed so will just pay up and shut up.
Maybe next holiday weekend I'll set the cruise control for 20km/h under the speed limit and see how much of a pita that is to everyone.

I suggest not to do that as my uncle was fine of too slow on a 100km/h limit while he was about 80km/h.
Police said that it is endangering other motorist of that speed.. I think he paid about $150 for that..

80Km/h in a 100KM/h zone?  Wow.  I see that every day, I wonder how many people get fined for going too slow.

haha, let me add me this..
it was because there are probably 5 cars having the same speed as there was no passing lane. the police was on the 6th queue and probably annoyed of it...

Yes. I wasnt being serious. 20km was exaggerating for effect to make the point about the police squeezing the margin of error. Probably just -3km on the cruise control but even that will annoy those following maybe even causing them into a risky passing maneouvre.
