Ok, but rent is cheaper than Auckland, Houses are cheaper, transport is cheaper..

It's more than a fair balance I'd suggest :)

Ok, but rent is cheaper than Auckland, Houses are cheaper, transport is cheaper..

It's more than a fair balance I'd suggest :)

Off Topic but.... jobs are scarcer and quite likely pay much less down there too?

I'm not sure if it's Gaspy or Collin's impending inquiry, but petrol prices at Bombay, which have consistently been 20-30+c dearer than nearby Pukekohe (which has a GULL), have finally come down, and are now much the same.

I've seen that kind of oscillation round here too... PN used to be consistently cheaper than Bulls, especially in the area near the Gull station. Since Waitomo opened in Bulls, PN prices have gone up.
