rugrat:

If I do pay by plate, do I need to open the Applic to use it at a supporting station, or will the option to use share tank show up on the pump?

When it works its great, by the time you get out of car it will already display your name and car plate and on the terminal (most times). Although out of Auckland I've come across few stations that have pay by plate.

This was really a surprise but a great one, Z sent a notification through the app saying "We're doing right by you - Sharetank bonus litres on us! If you purchased Sharktank petrol litres between 1-14 March, you'll get some bonus litres on Friday, to reflect the 25cpl excise tax cut. T&Cs apply."

Impressed, thanks Z :)

I just got this too and equally impressed. To me, locking a price in means you win if it goes up, but lose if it goes down. You don't get to complain if your prediction at future price rises doesn't come to pass. So above and beyond, really.

Well done Z.

When you think about it, you win so many more customers for life by doing this, and it would've cost much less than a fully fledged marketing campaign.

Got my free fuel. Looks like 10% extra fuel on what was purchased, so around 30 cents off.

Thank you Z.

I’ve got the bonus for both my 91 and 95 purchases. Very impressed that they did this.
It’s this sort of stuff that drives me to purchase a lot more fuel from them in the future.

Good going Z Energy. They legally didn't do it, although I felt a bit gutted that I had bought it at a higher price.

They've won a customer for life now.

Had 100lt. Now got 110.

At original 2.91 pre spikes, brings it to pump price more or less - as 2.65 for chc stations. Can't complain I was losing out as much I guess. Bar it's not eligible for discount days it may pay off in a month or two.

I have to eat my words.

Gone down another $0.05 at the pump today

That's a well-timed rebate...

Nice one Z!
